REAL PEOPLE. REAL RESULTS!

What motivated you to make a change?
I spent too many years going up and down in weight and I frankly had enough. I made this change amongst the craziness that was the COVID pandemic and I wanted to make something good out of the situation I was in.
When did you start noticing results and how did you track your results?
I would say the first couple months of being consistent with my nutrition is when I saw some major losses. I weighed myself a couple times a week to track my results.
What changes did you make?
I completely changed my eating habits. I went low carb and made sure to prioritize protein. I stayed with whole, single ingredient foods and completely cleaned out my house of processed foods. As for exercise, I made sure to get ten thousand steps daily.
How does it feel to be more physically fit and what are some of your achievements?
It’s incredible. Since I’ve been back at the Fitness Factory, I’ve noticed I’m not as winded from exercise and I can go longer with more intensity.
What are some tips you would give someone trying to lose weight?
You can’t out run a bad diet. Everyone’s situation at home is different, but for me, I controlled everything that came in the house. This led to no tempting junk foods and helped me stay consistent with my eating. You have to take this kind of control if you want to see results. Also, don’t pile everything all at once. I started with my nutrition and then a year later got back to the gym.
What is your current nutrition plan and what nutrition plan works best for you?
I am currently shifting from being in a calorie deficit to being in a slight surplus. I am sticking to the same kind of foods I ate to lose weight but I am eating a bit more.
What is your current fitness plan and what fitness plan works best for your goals?
I am currently trying to build muscle for several months and then cut weight again to get a more toned look. My current fitness plans includes 3-4 days of resistance training a week with slow steady state cardio everyday. I also still try to hit my 10k steps a day.
